  • Eligibility:
    i. A Bachelors’ Degree (LEVEL 6, MQF) in Economics field with a minimum CGPA 2.50 out of 4.00 or its equivalent qualifications as accepted by the Senate of Lincoln University College; or
    ii. A Bachelor's Degree (LEVEL 6, MQF) in Economics field with Mathematics with CGPA below 2.50 out of 4.00 or its equivalent qualification can be accepted, subject to a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in relevant field.
  • Goal: Master of Economics program is intended to train professional economists with the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career. The student will have acquired practical and conceptual skills in research, consultancy, planning, design, development,operation and maintenance founded on principles, economic theory and various applied fields. The program of Master of Economics will produce Economists who are:
    • Knowledgeable to identify the complex economic mechanism and policies regarding utilization and allocation of resources and capital.
    • Capable of inculcating systematic, rigorous and ethical social responsibility through value and attitudes.
    • Capable to communicate effectively and develop solutions to economic problems.
    • Proficient of having lifelong learning skills of modern economics resources and information management by pursuing advanced educational opportunities
  • Scope:
    Economics has high utility and tremendous demand in the job markets. Economics is a very important discipline both for career as well as job point of view. Job opportunities have increased manifolds post liberalization, privatization and globalization and after merging of world economy. Moreover,the master graduates can work as an economic analysts, researchers and consultants and also for the civil services. Master’s degree in Economics would provide opportunity for the posts of Accountant financial manager in bank and Insurance companies and in Government Economic Service. Possible job titles could include:
